All five of Mokou's lines, plus hit and death sounds.

>> No.152

Heh, only after listening to the competition I realized my mic sucks. I can get a better one though. Probably will too.

>> No.157

Yeah, would be better to redo these, but I think something promising is hiding behind them.

This might be the best I can get until I get a better mic.

I hate to say it, but we can't really make any accurate decisions regarding your audition until that mic quality increases.

We would very much welcome a re-do if and when that occurs.

Same crappy headset. Not bad for $20 though.

And an Okuu too.

Ah, sorry for any inconvenience, but I think we've already cast Suika and Okuu. Apologies for not updating the posts.

That's alright, not my best anyway. How's Mokou's place doing though?

Contains everything up to 2009-10-18, LZMA compression. May have to start hosting on MediaFire since this looks like this'll hit the filesize limit pretty soon.

Went past the 15,000 KB filesize limit, so the download is in the link.

Contains everything up to 2009-10-26 (heh, my birthday) with the added bonus of everything being 44.1 kHz 16-bit mono normalized .wav files to match TF2's vo sounds. All filenames also follow the character_line_actress.wav pattern with foleys being line 0, and lines with multiple takes have a letter appended to the number.

Enjoy. Now there's no excuse not to have heard the auditions on the last page.

Aya: I think you're speaking a little too slowly. You're probably going to have to sacrifice strongly emphasizing some words and instead focus on saying the lines quickly but clearly.

Reimu: I do like this one, though I think it generally needs just a little more anger. Also, see >>108

Okuu: You've got the personality down in line 1, but I think 2 needs more of a sense of confusion and 3 should be said with disappointment.

Eirin: I can't think of anything. Sounds good to me.

Sakuya: Sounds a bit too strong; I think you should try the lines again in the same style that you did Eirin's lines -- softer and a little calmer.

Nue: I might not know Nue that well but I really like this one based on what little I know of her. The screams seem to match her, too.

>> No.140

To everyone else: Based on info from her site, Rina-chan is a very busy professional VA and she may not be watching this board. If we need something important to tell her, we need to email her.

>> No.141

No way! Haushinka auditioned!? I think we are lucky she auditioned. I'm pretty sure she has been a bit busy with professional work to audition for projects right now, but I'm glad she found some time for this one! I'll do an actual critique later.

>> No.142

Well I hope they look here. Although if not I'm used to e-mailing people. Anyway.

Aya: Not thinking you're cut out for this one. I'd give it a miss.

Reimu: Somewhat okay, but a bit too calm. It's one of the more auditioned-for roles though so I would worry about it too much.

Utsuho: It's not bad, but it remains too same-y throughout. You need to act more empty-headed when confused/questioning things. The third leg line was perfect though; a good base for any angry/excited lines. So it's half and half: work on the airhead bits.

Eirin: I liked this one a lot. Has the exact vibe I pictured in my head/was looking for.

Sakuya: Not distanced, cold, bitter enough. Sounds too comforting

Nue: Like this one a lot too. I'd like to hear what it would sound like with a more mischievous tone on a line or two though, as if you're just screwing around with everyone, for example on the around the corner one. Your despair ones were good, but when you're doing something normal or happy, try imagining you're screwing with people...if that makes any sense.

A lot of what I'm thinking has already been said, so I'll try my best to work around it.

Aya: Her hyper attitude just isn't there.

Reimu: It's a bit difficult for me to render a critique for her, as, like Cap'n before me said, she IS one of the most auditioned-for parts.

Okuu (Utsuho): Everything past line 1 sounds kind of...iffy. The "sentry" line seems almost forced, as the first part of it is her thinking to herself, then announcing that a sentry is ahead.

Eirin: I personally imagined her pitch a tad lower myself, but you definitely have her attitude.

Nue: Not much to say about this. Again, attitude's there, inflection's there. Sounds good.

Follys: Everything except "Nooooo...!" sounds pretty natural. The good thing is that these sound relatively universal with all the tryouts, so that's a plus.

Try out for Eirin.

>> No.135

Could you redo the lines in the quality of the forth line?
In general I think they needs a little bit more excitement.

>> No.136

Yeah, I think you need to redo the lines with better quality before I can get an accurate idea of how it sounds. It's hard for me to tell at the moment.
